TheΒ Haunted HalloweenΒ HistoryΒ Dander was a great success and was well attended.Β Joseph McCoy led the party around the eerie sitesΒ of old Maghera and enthralled the crowd with spine-chilling tales such as the thirteen-stepΒ courthouse and the ghostlyΒ prison cart which can still be seen on a winter’s night.
TheΒ groupΒ went on toΒ hear aboutΒ the spooky doings at the FairΒ Hill andΒ MainΒ StreetΒ and listened to tales of the uncanny based on Victoria House.Β Then they moved on toΒ theΒ OldΒ Rectory and the ancient church ofΒ StΒ Lurach’sΒ Β – both steepedΒ in mystery, story and legend.
FinallyΒ a visit toΒ the old StationΒ Master’sΒ House ended an evening spent with the ghosts of Maghera’s past.
